Fundamentalism, The Brain, and You

In Episode 91 of Fresh Tracks we talk about our brain and how we are designed to react. I found myself yelling at “them” on the television a few weeks ago. Angry. Disturbed at their lack of empathy for others. I experienced a complete disgust of those “other people” as a whole. In this week’s episode of Fresh Tracks, we look at what’s going on behind this anger and the “us versus them” mentality we see across the world today. This leads us to a discussion on brain scans, sacred values, religious fundamentalism and its meaning to us. Is our brain hard-wired to default to this anger and separatism?

I share results of brain research that has been done specifically on religious fundamentalism, sacred values and our willingness to fight and die for what we believe in. Why does this “us versus them” scenario develop in the first place? And what can you, as an individual do to change it? Check out this episode of Fresh Tracks and discover how to physically change your brain to experience empathy, compassion and reason.

CORONAVIRUS: An Opportunity to Face and Conquer our Fears

In episode 85 of Fresh Tracks I speak with Vincent Genna about the value of using the coronavirus pandemic and the change it has brought the world for our own healing. Vincent explains why we can choose to make this an opportunity for healing and choose to be in a different, better place after the pandemic. We do this by first acknowledging that we want to change and going beyond traditional coping skills to substantive healing.

In this episode we examine the nine basic traits each of us are innately born with and discuss why it’s imperative we not only understand but embrace these qualities fully in order to create our life with intention.

Why it’s important to know yourself, your quirky sabotaging habits, and the lens you view incidents from are all covered in this special episode of Fresh Tracks.

Finally, we discuss understanding the tools you have to work with – Universal Law. What are some common mistakes people make when working with Universal Law and how to overcome them.
